Intuit in partnership with ICAI hosts
“Grow your practice with cloud computing” seminar
Ahmedabad, India | January 09, 2013
As part of the efforts to engage and partner with the chartered accountant community, Intuit has collaborated with The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) to organize a series of workshops on the benefits of cloud based technologies. The ICAI Ahmedabad branch along with Intuit, leading provider of business and financial management solutions for small and mid–sized businesses in the country recently organized a seminar on, “Grow your practice with cloud computing” for its members in the city recently. The ICAI is the second largest regulatory body in the world established for chartered accountant professionals in India.
“According to the latest industry reports, the Indian cloud computing market has reached almost a billion–dollar mark this year. Cost efficiency, flexibility and productivity are some of the major reasons for this surge in cloud computing,” said Aditya Tulsian, Strategy and Accountant Ecosystem Head, Intuit India who presented the session at ICAI Ahmedabad. “Accountants globally are realizing the benefits cloud computing has brought to them and their clients, and are adopting it extensively. ICAI Ahmedabad has been doing a phenomenal job by recognizing this global change and creating awareness among its members on the benefits of cloud adoption. Gujarat is a key market for us as it is a key industrial and business hub, and is home to a large community of progressive chartered accountants for whom technology adoption can be most beneficial for their businesses.” he further added.
Intuit’s seminar drew over 200 members of the ICAI community in Ahmedabad. The session focused on cloud computing, its benefits, latest accounting softwares and discussed case studies of cloud adoption. Established in 1962, the ICAI Ahmedabad branch services more than 5000 chartered accountants in and around the region. It plays a proactive role in educating and equipping Chartered Accountants in the region. Intuit had also supported the ICAI Vishwas – 44th Regional Conference in Bangalore earlier this year.
“The ICAI has witnessed some real power packed programmes and sessions in the last few months,” said CA Aniket Talati, Secretary and Chairman Direct & Indirect Tax Committee of Ahmedabad Branch, ICAI. “Intuit’s session on cloud computing and its benefits has been well received by our members who are progressive and keen on adopting new technologies that can help them serve their clients better. Cloud based technologies are set to revolutionize the way Indian businesses and accountants manage finances. In today’s competitive world, cloud computing will provide that edge to CA’s to grow their practice to the next level.”
